Citibank Europe Plc (CEP) is the main EU licensed banking entity for Citi in EMEA, headquartered in Dublin, with branches in 21 European countries.

CEP Credit Risk Team manages CEP’s entire loan book, covering Citi’s clients throughout the world and partners with other Risk Management teams across the globe. Within the team the Credit Risk Analyst Unit is responsible for providing risk analysis and assessment of the obligors’ creditworthiness in the bank’s portfolio in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete and review CEP Credit Approval documents in line with the schedule of periodic (annual) reviews

• Analyse and assess risks in the credit relationships together with CEP's exposure and formulate recommendations with appropriate justification

• Work closely with Relationship/Product Managers and Credit Approvers to facilitate transaction approvals

• Provide support to regional and global Risk management projects

• Provide credit input to standardized credit-related documents

• Ensure that the Credit Risk Controls are effective

Ideal background:

• 0-3 years of credit risk analysis or corporate banking experience and/or experience with analysing financial statements and disclosures

• University Degree/Graduate Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent

• Fluent English

• Strong analytical skills

• Good understanding of financial statements (BS, P&L, CFS)

• Knowledge of credit products and specific industry characteristics (manufacturing, services, banks etc.) is beneficial

• Understanding of credit documentation is also beneficial
