The Vice President - 2LoD Credit Approvals Monitoring and Control Officer will serve as key member of the Commercial Independent Risk global office team.  The successful candidate will be responsible to the ongoing monitoring and reporting of the global universe of credit approval to ensure that all policies and procedural requirements have been satisfied, and that elevation and resolution of any non-compliant approvals is timely.

This role could be located in London, Warsaw or Budapest.


  • Weekly analysis of all credit approval workflows processed on the Citi1Credit underwriting platform.
  • Identification and resolution of any approval workstreams not meeting requirements under policies and/or standards.
  • Elevation of issues to senior Risk, Business and Commercial Loan Management officers.
  • Weekly and other periodic reporting of process statistics.
  • Troubleshooting and helping to resolve Citi1Credit logic issues.


  • A nuanced individual with a working knowledge of Citi credit policy and approval requirements
  • Ability to interact effectively with in-country Risk and Business managers globally
  • Ability to adhere to committed reporting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Citi wholesale credit policies and standards
  • Ability to gain a working understanding of Citi1Credit controls and system logic.
  • Ability to function under deadlines and to follow-up aggressively with process constituents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Experiences serving in a risk focused management capacity at a major regulated financial institution.
  • Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
