Fund Accounting SVP

This role will be the primary point person for Citi’s US 40 Act fund accounting opaerations.  Key components of this role are: (1) Proactively managing and mitigating risk (2) Oversee and execute new client on-boarding’s with best of breed technology (3) Identification and overseeing key operational efficiencies improvements via the process and platform and (4) Effectively managing multiple local and global key stakeholders.

This role will work in tandem with leadership in Sales, Product, Technology and other Operational areas for BAU and new business opportunities.

Specific areas of global responsibility will include:

  • Serving as the lead senior operations manager for Fund Accounting Operations clients through the direct and indirect management of various functional groups within Operations and Technology.
  • Providing strategic direction for new business implementation plans, client projects and system utilization. Effectively communication vision, provide appropriate oversight to ensure deliverables are met and issues are appropriately escalated and resolved.
  • Proactively reviewing and analyzing operating models for quality, control and efficiency; make strategic decisions on solutions and improvements and drive change within the organization. Utilize new technologies where appropriate and foster a culture that generates ideas and new approaches.
  • Building credibility and trust with regional partners, seniors and clients.  Seek opportunities to lead and engage in highly visible, global projects.   Continually engage with global operating partners to enhance and build upon the global operating model.
  • Post implementation of new business initiatives over the next 12-18 months, this position will expand to leading a Fund Accounting Operations team of highly skilled employees and a specific book of clients that fall within the US 40 Act registered funds and CIT business. Responsibly plan overall resource management, allocate work for multiple teams/projects and ensure highest quality delivery.
  • Leading and developing direct reports and broader team. Ensure individual goals are well defined and they align to broader team and organization strategic goals. Identify and support development of succession candidates for key roles. Ensure managers are developing staff and holding teams accountable, providing timely feedback and adhering to established performance management process. Drive efforts to attract and retain top talent.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent project management experience

·         Minimum 15 years business experience in Financial Services

·         Minimum 10 years of Fund Accounting experience; related ETF experience

·         Proven track record for delivering and managing complex project / programs with a positive outcome for both the client and the firm

·         Experience developing and delivering operational strategic initiatives

·         Demonstrated leadership and initiative with ability to take charge and accomplish tasks in a fast paced, large global firm

·         Demonstrated securities product and industry knowledge

·         Ability to establish and build trust with client and senior leadership throughout the business

·         Ability to work effectively and independently

·         Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing work environment

·         Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with multiple audiences in mind

·         Ability to effectively manage multiple internal and external relationships and projects

·         Ability to organize people and assign tasks to achieve the highest productivity
