Exchange Traded Funds Product Developer (VP)

The North American (CFS) Product Development and Strategy Team is looking to add to its current ETF team. ETF’s are going to be a significant factor in the growth of the CFS business going forward.

The Custody Fund Services business is a growing business line, and ETF’s are going to be a major driver of that growth. As we look to grow the business and take it forward, we are looking to augment the team with a highly skilled professional in the ETF space. The Product Development and Strategy team will play a key role in the future success of the business.  In order to secure future mandates, it will be critical that CFS continue developing its global ETF platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the team to further enhance the ETF platform
  • Take ownership of the platform developments and be accountable for the following
  • Annual budget
  • Monthly spend vs budget
  • Ensuring completeness and signoff of BRD/FRD/and Test plans for tech builds
  • Ensure completeness of operational testing and rollout of new features
  • Work with operations and technology to develop a global operating model
  • Create and promote the use of standardized processes across regions
  • Help develop Level 1,2,3 support to accommodate 24x7 work cycle
  • Ensure operations has proper handoffs of responsibilities built into their workflows
  • Assist in definition of roles and responsibilities to be done in local jurisdictions
  • Stay abreast of local and regulatory requirements within the ETF servicing sector
  • Assist in the business development efforts globally to grow the ETF business in the following areas
  • Responses to RFP’s
  • Pricing of global deals
  • Presentation of Citi capabilities to prospective clients
  • Participation in industry conferences and forums
  • Work with clients as the Product expert during launches, conversions etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Candidate needs to demonstrate independence, proven results and strong understanding of subject matter, including interaction with third parties
  • Be able to critically analyze processes to identify issues, root causes and corrective actions
  • Strong organizational skills - for self and with the ability to get the best from others
  • A delivery-focused approach with a high level of attention to detail

  • Ability to lead working sessions and senior client presentations, maintaining composure in difficult meetings

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Masters preferred
  • 8-12 years relevant Custody and Funds experience with an emphasis on ETF’s
  • Prior experience in ETF systems product designs and builds
  • Having led large scale conversions of ETF business a definite plus
