The Subsidiaries Account Manager (SAM) position is accountable for managing a portfolio of multinational subsidiaries from our Global Subsidiaries Group (GSG) segment; responsible for meeting all their banking needs in treasury and trade solutions, markets and corporate portfolio management; leading origination and execution in coordination with product partners locally and abroad.

GSG is the industry leading group responsible for the coverage of Citi's Global clients with presence in each of the 95 countries globally and 20 countries in Latin America where Citi operates.


  • Lead a client portfolio with potential financial needs with the objective of becoming the first call to each of them, and by doing so generating business growth while being mindful of Citi’s credit standards, policies and procedures.
  • Identify client needs and recommend solutions, such as, working capital related optimization, streamlining of local and regional cash management operations, risk management solutions, foreign currency, etc.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Perform annual portfolio assessment, identifying wallet size, share of wallet and opportunities to grow.
  • Perform monthly revenue and drivers monitoring to ensure growth plan.
  • Build and maintain strong and close relationship with country, regional and global GSG teams in order to learn and execute the regional and global strategy for the clients.
  • Build and maintain strong and close relationship with Product, Operations and other partners in the country.
  • Attend training and learning sessions to remain up to date on products, markets and regulatory issues.
  • Propose, lead and proactively participate on business initiatives.


  • 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Proven track record on sales and finance
  • Bachelor’s / University degree in business, finance or similar
  • Fluent in Spanish and English is a must.
