IT Project Senior Manager - C13 - BOGOTA
The Process Quality Assurance (PQA) Team sits within the Technology division as part of the Organization Project Management Office. PQA is responsible for reviewing the Technology Book of Work for completion of required documents and their timelines.
Documents are scoped and reviewed as they are completed in the Project Tracking System. Review results drive remediation actions. Continuous improvement of the PQA framework and knowledge sharing with the Project Management Community are key areas of focus.
The IT Project Senior Manager is required to manage a team of individual contributors as they conduct qualitative inspections of work effort artifacts against published standards and procedures. This lead role will be responsible for providing metrics, trends and observations to project managers and providing input to process and standards changes and efficiencies.
Job Description
The person will as part of the TFS Global Organization Project Management team:
- Be manager of a Process Quality Assurance team reporting up to the PQA Lead
- Management of people duties to include, budget and planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring and disciplinary actions.
- Responsible for the career development of team members to meet the needs of an ever-changing oversight function.
- Lead effort to increased automation, reducing both manual touch points and bureaucracy for customers and internal team alike.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the team’s toolset, including Databases and Tableau dashboard solutions.
- Lead test activities ensuring smooth execution of toolset and the implementation of future enhancements
- Identify key quality and control risks in projects that impact application reliability, stability and availability through efficient, effective and accurate control and quality focused inspections.
- Provide technology managers with ongoing monitoring of the compliance and quality status of their key Projects, Programs, and Initiatives.
- Provide technology with quantitative measures as well as qualitative observations and recommendations on major themes and trends related to process adherence.
- Liaise with specific technology management organization highlighting areas of risk and solutions to mitigate that risk.
Knowledge / Experience:
- Experience in managing teams globally, including planning, hiring, goal setting, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
- Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycles and related standards and policies. (including various methodologies eg Agile, Iterative, and traditional waterfall)
- Experience in driving process efficiencies, removing unnecessary administration.
- Understand industry processes and quality standards, industry trends.
- Experience in owing a function with full responsibility for all end to end process and technology activities.
- Experience in developing test suites and managing E2E test cycles.
- Skill in developing and presenting reports to senior management within customer base.
- Experience of developing and/or promotion of project best practices.
- Experience in financial services organization.
- Training / certification in an established process framework (ITIL, CMMi, PMP, etc.) is desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritize within tight deadlines while maintaining total accuracy.
- Ability to influence others and quickly earn the confidence of others.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills. Experience in SQL, MS SharePoint and Tableau.
- Quick learner and able to work in a diverse, global environment.
- Ability to analyze large amounts of data, decipher items relevant to the development unit covered, and determine corresponding risk.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and also independently under own supervision.
- Possess the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with various levels of management.
- Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to benefit the organization and maintain client satisfaction.
