Team Overview:

The Operations Regulatory Control group is a centralized unit within ICG O&T that is responsible for the implementation and oversight of regulatory reporting, including exception management and risk mitigation across swap dealer reporting. The group is responsible for:

  • Implementation of new regulatory reporting initiatives and enhancements
  • Control and exception management on swap dealer reports
  • Industry level advocacy across multiple trade associations
  • Partnering across Markets to remediate regulatory issues

Role Overview:

  • Act as point of contact for MiFID/Swiss Trade Reporting initiatives
  • Work closely with colleagues from Operations & Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Internal Audit and Cross-Asset business unit managers to to create, administer, track, and deliver project plans.
  • Work within the global team to achieve the development and execution of a global book of work including; delivering new regulatory requirements, conducting end-to-end reviews of existing processes and producing insightful metrics
  • Drive change process by keeping up to date with industry initiatives and regulatory outreach assignments to feed information back to relevant stakeholders to ensure transparency within the firm
  • Create, manage, and present project documents (e.g., business requirements, project plans and status updates); risk & control updates and issue/event summaries to related stakeholders
  • Implement project-management standards in line with Citi’s policies, procedures, and governance & oversight framework
  • Represent Citi in major industry forums; monitor publications from trade associations and regulators to ensure Citi remains complaints with the regulations


  • Previous financial services experience, with experience working as a Project Manager or Business Analyst.
  • Shows initiative, self-driven & professional
  • Knowledge of MiFID II Post-Trade Transparency/Swiss Trade regulatory reporting desirable
  • Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, PMI etc) desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of projects, operational process changes and improvement, preferably within capital markets operations
  • Experience in collecting, defining, and documenting business and technology requirements, test plans and other project management artefacts
  • Ability to consult with project stakeholders demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Illustrates the ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues
  • Experience of participating in/running large scale implementations with the ability to work in a pressurised environment demonstrating strong time management skills.
  • Skilled in working across technology and business projects and managing inter-dependencies between the two
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills when working with stakeholders presenting conflicting agendas
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to senior levels of management
