Role Overview

The Regional HRPS Generalist Lead will partner with senior regional leadership teams to establish the delivery and regional coordination of the HR strategy for their designated business area across EMEA. Working alongside global HR partners, they will act as a key coordinator to senior managers with regional populations on all HR related issues, tailoring and executing fully all aspects of the People agenda.

They will also contribute to the building of organizational and leadership capability reflecting the business strategy.  Where strategy is set globally, they will advise on how this can be executed within the region.

This role will also provide HR coverage to London and Edinburgh populations as well as delivering agreed aspects of HR generalist support to any Western Europe country populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with regional leadership teams and people managers to tailor and execute the people strategy for your client groups providing proactive solutions and support regionally.

  • Work with managers and regional leadership teams to ensure the regional co-ordination and seamless delivery of end-to-end HR processes including annual cycle activities such as Performance Management, Talent, Voice of the Employee and Year End Compensation.

  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of Employee Relations matters including conduct, absence and performance issues. Advise business leaders and people managers on opportunities and risks relating to management actions across the ER landscape.

  • Support managers and employees in resolving informal workplace issues and complaints and support the delivery of disciplinary action in line with the company’s global Discipline policy.

  • Act as point of escalation on serious issues, partner with in-country HR teams and ER/policy teams on any ER issues that require a significant level of senior leadership involvement across the region.

  • Develop strong working relationships with key HR partners including Reward & Mobility, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Talent, Learning & Diversity.  Leverage these relationships to help ensure the efficient delivery of regional HR processes and initiatives to your client group.

  • Support managers in developing and delivering proactive people initiatives to improve employee engagement, career progression, development and diversity & inclusion across the region.

  • Coach people managers to increase their capability in managing performance of their teams ensuring that development and career plans are in place and under performance is addressed. Deliver coaching/interventions to build capability of senior leadership teams.

  • Partner with global and regional compensation specialists and HR colleagues to support an efficient and coordinated annual year end compensation process, ensuring awareness of regulatory compensation requirements and processes across the region.

  • Lead and implement change management activity required to support ongoing regional business growth ensuring adherence to any regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate and advise on any regional restructuring and reengineering programs including redundancies, offshoring, acquisitions and divestitures partnering with appropriate in-country HR teams.

  • Partner with global HR partners and managers to ensure Culture programs are delivered and embedded within the business across the region.

  • Coach senior business leaders to improve their individual leadership and management skills. Work with the senior leader to build capability in their team – with the individuals & the team as a collective.

  • Understand and proactively manage risk and compliance in respective area of responsibility.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

  • Seasoned HR Generalist Partner with a sound understanding of GB and Northern Ireland employment law, policies & systems.

  • Ability to take a leadership position and apply strategic and tactical HR knowledge to provide strategic solutions to human capital problems.

  • Capability to customize or implement HR solutions to human capital problems in creative ways or to craft new HR solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate and partner with individuals at all levels within the organisation.

  • Strong organisational skills: organise and drive personal workflow and follow-up to completion, strong execution mindset.

  • Operational Excellence capabilities: process improvement mindset.

  • Business capabilities: commercial awareness, business acumen, client focus, aligning business and people strategies.

  • HR capabilities: employee relations, use of HR metrics, organization design, talent development, change management/delivery.

  • Consulting capabilities: innovation and creativity, negotiation, facilitation and coaching, impact, influencing and persuasiveness, trusted advisor, leadership, project management/delivery.

  • High tolerance for dealing with ambiguity and on-going change.

  • Resilient under pressure and self-motivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.

  • Strong ability to manage and mitigate risk.

  • Proficient in the use of HR systems and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related discipline or equivalent.

  • Professionally qualified (CIPD) or equivalent work experience.
