Role Overview:

With the increased focus on regulatory technology transformation, process improvement and ensuring Citi is providing the best for its clients, it's critical to fully manage the lifecycle of the technology leveraged by the Legal department.

With that in mind, Citi's Global Legal Solutions Technology and Innovation team in Belfast is looking for a dedicated Technology Manager to join its team to manage its established technology portfolio.

The portfolio includes the full suite of applications providing technology to the Legal department. The responsibilities of the Technology Manager includes overseeing the strategy, roadmap, and prioritization of all existing systems within the portfolio, and supporting onboarding and deployment of new software through partnership with legal stakeholders, operations and the infrastructure support team. A successful technology manager will have a strong working knowledge of current and emerging Legal Technology trends and innovations with deep working knowledge of their respective portfolio.


  • Supports activities related to managing onboarded legal technology, risk/controls, litigation/discovery and administration

  • Performs varied work requests from multiple sources that may be complex in character

  • Responsible for tasks associated with programs and projects where tactical decisions and recommendations for technical approaches are necessary

  • Provides analysis of current technology usage and suitability and advises on ways to increase productively or expand technology's reach

  • Oversees a support area or visibility to senior Legal managers

  • Works closely with internal technology support teams as well as 3rd party vendors to understand and map future technology enhancements

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • Experience working in corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm or related industry

  • Must have advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, exceptional verbal communication and listening skills

  • Knowledge of legal customs and practices

  • Project management skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of the financial services industry


  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
