ISG Tech Risk & Control Lead Analyst

Locations: Belfast, Northern Ireland Job Function: Corporate Services Employee Status: Regular Job ID: 20195447

Job Purpose:

This role is within the ISG O&T Risk and Control team. Candidate will be responsible for providing oversight in relation to identification and mitigation of Technology risks, proactively identifying emerging risks and work with key stakeholder to implement solutions.

Main areas of interaction include:

  • ISG Technology Teams
  • Accounts Control Group (ACG)
  • Client Onboarding Services (COS)
  • Entity Data Management (EDM)
  • Know Your Customer (KYC)
  • Regulatory Legal Analytics Unit (RLAU)
  • Risk and Control (R&C)
  • Securities and Pricing (S&P)

This is an important role, reflective of the increasing criticality of strong risk and control focus within a large global operations and technology organisation such as ISG.

Key Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for the following in relation to the ISG Risk and Control function.

Technology Risk and Control Review

  • Building a strong risk control framework across ISG for all technology functions
  • Technology risk reviews and oversight of risks and controls
  • Recommend appropriate and pragmatic solutions to risk and control issues
  • Identification of control gaps in relation to Technology processes, applications, Information Security Policy and other internal policies.
  • Championing quality improvement initiatives in the technical space with a goal of ensuring steady improvement in the “first time pass rate” in all regions and across all reference data domains
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure consistency and best practices
  • Leading Risk and Control related projects across ISG globally.
  • Governance – drive Risk and Control initiatives and governance as and when required
  • Policy/ Guidelines - Policy/ Guidelines development, standardization, awareness, implementation assistance, and enforcement of related policies globally
  • Monitoring of key technology risk and control related MIS
  • Advisory: subject matter technical expert and trusted advisor on risk and control issues to management and staff
  • Supporting the proactive target review and process mapping teams for the risk mitigation program
  • Assist in Risk and Control projects if required, providing technical experience/knowledge to participate in reviews or assist with the closure of audit issues/CAPs

    Leadership

  • Projects – Assist on regional or global risk and control related projects;
  • Innovation – develop methods to make the Risk and Control technology oversight function more efficient and ensure local processes are considered in global initiatives.
  • Use communication skills to influence a wide range of internal audiences including product, function, or regional executive management partners
  • Presentations – Be confident at presenting open issues on the right forums for R&C CAPs, KRIs, R&C projects for regional and global partners/ leaders.
  • Relationship Management – Develop strong partnerships within the ISG Operations & Technology groups, as well as other organizations supporting ISG activities (IA, Compliance, etc.)
