Role Overview

The COB & CM Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, Deals with problems independently and has ability to solve complex provlems.  Integrates in depth specialty area knowledge with solid understanding of industry standards and best practices.  Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction / job family.  Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down informaiton in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex  / sensitive information.  Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will impact the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.


  • The COB & CM Senior Analyst supports Citigroup's Continuity of Business (COB) organization within Global Operations & Technology Risk Management (OTRM).
  • Interfaces with business managers, end users and technical staff for supporting the business recovery coordination role. This includes the creation and maintenance of business recovery plans.
  • Manage risk by analysing the root cause of issues, impact to business and required corrective action.
  • Coordinate with internal and external compliance and auditing agencies and officials.
  • Develop procedures and process control manuals.
  • Support the scenario analysis initiative by inerfacing with business managers, end users, and technical staff for provisioning access and exercises independent judgement in analysing, configuring, and fulfilling required security solutions.
  • Generate metrics and manage productivity to ensure service level agreements and client expectations are met.
  • Produce requirements documentation in both written and diagrammatic form.
  • Business knowledge of documentation type and purpose.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Track record as a strong analyst – recognized as able to deliver work in pressured environments.
  • Hands on approach and able to manage own work load whilst taking direction.
  • Attention to detail and ability to discuss document and confirm process flows.
  • Sufficiently experienced to provide feedback for areas of improvement and realign strategy accordingly.
  • Collaborative approach, must be able to work closely with senior business sponsors and promote consensus decisions that are right for the organization.
  • Flexibility and Autonomy are essential as some out of hours work may be required.
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • Proficient in Microsoft office with and emphasis on MS Excel.
  • experience working with internal/external audit/regulatory groups is preferred.
  •  good understanding of supporting technologies (applications, reporting tools, and data presentation).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
