We are seeking a Marketing Manager to be based in Sydney who will be responsible for planning and executing innovative initiatives and acquisition marketing campaigns to maximise digital sales of retail banking products (deposits and mortgages) through both new to bank client acquisition and cross sell to existing clients to achieve both product revenue targets and segments growth through the optimisation of channels, offers, creative and budget.

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development of, and execute on, the retail banking acquisition marketing strategy to maximise sustainable, profitable growth 
  • Develop and manage delivery of innovative digital campaigns that deliver account targets, speak to our target audience, are delivered on time, with competitive offers
  • Coordinate all campaign execution requirements, such as ABs, CAs, data briefs, agency briefs, creative development, offer development, tracking, reporting etc with engagement of key stakeholders as required 
  • Enable accurate and timely ROI reporting, on-the-fly optimisation and effective channel attribution through the setup, implementation and optimisation of tracking, reporting and analysis tools and processes
  • Analyse traffic and gain insights into digital performance including conversion rates and make adjustments as necessary using creative, platform and application levers, leveraging web analytics tools from the Adobe and Google stacks
  • Ideate and drive initiatives to maximise campaign effectiveness, such as online enquiry and application channels, lead referral and conversion processes etc
  • Adopt a Mobile First approach to new campaigns
  • Deepen client relationships to drive PFDR through the optimisation of a data-driven, client-centric cross sell framework, with strong, hyperpersonalised creative integrated across all available (and appropriate, given the product and segment) client touchpoints, such as our public website (pre- and post-login), eDM, DM, paid digital channel retargeting, OBTM, IBTM/sales leveraging, F2F etc
  • Manage and develop relationships with creative, media and technology agencies and vendors to foster innovation, and to optimise the performance of all digital channels, such as paid and organic search, social, display, digital TV, content marketing and affiliates
  • Achieve segment growth targets through the integration of segment propositions into product acquisition campaigns where appropriate
  • Build awareness of Citi retail banking products and segment propositions to drive UBA and preference metrics, and ultimately new accounts
  • Develop marketing comms and collateral that supports Citi brand awareness and key brand pillars
  • Understand and socialise campaign successes and learnings, to determine future campaign/channel strategies
  • Seek continual improvement in the way we do business – processes, engagement etc
  • Develop strong relationships with all internal stakeholders and in particular develop excellent relationships with the Product and Segment teams, to deliver strong growth in the portfolio
  • Prudently manage the retail digital sales budget, including optimisation, accruals and invoicing, to ensure targets and return on investment metrics are exceeded
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly acquisition and business MIS to determine areas for improvement across all key campaign metrics
  • Monitor competitor and market trends ongoing to drive in-house and agency innovation
  • Adhere to all Citi control requirements
  • Deliver a remarkable client experience in all campaigns and initiatives

Qualifications


To be successful in this role you will have the following skills/experience:

  • Tertiary qualified in marketing, with 5+ years’ experience in the field
    Financial services and paid media (client or agency side) experience highly valued; Adobe & Salesforce marketing cloud experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in, and passion for, digital innovation
  • Strong results focus and commercial acumen
  • Effective analysis and decision making capabilities
