The HR Management Consultant will take responsibility for strategic projects for the function.They will analyse current state and provide subsequent recommendations for the future development of the function.They will have responsibility for the implementation of recommendations and initiatives for the Resourcing function in Australia. 

  • Become an expert in Workday and advise on the change management and operational procedures required to ensure successful implementation as well as identifying any gaps and proposed improvements 
  • Advise on opportunities to better Citi’s employer value proposition within the Australia and New Zealand market and create material to support this
  • Develop the Resourcing team’s ability to utilise talent analytics and determine targeted branding opportunities and approaches, in particular, creating strategy for the BCMA and Cards businesses
  • Identify and leverage channels to drive Recruitment Branding agenda to ensure active participation in all Citi approved social media channels and platforms
  • Partner with Resourcing team, HRGs and Business Leads to manage the and to end delivery of projects pertaining to:

- diversity in recruitment and how the function can support businesses in achieving a balanced and diverse workforce, with a particular focus on gender balance

- promoting workplace flexibility and creating a strategy for Resourcing to support hiring managers in accommodating flexible work practices

  • Responsibility for ensuring implementation of Sourcing strategies for the BCMA and Cards businesses
  • Creation of workforce planning kit where required for some Institutional and Consumer businesses
  • Oversight of key metrics in the TA team to ensure hiring is conducted efficiently
  • Creation and implementation of Employee referral scheme



  • Bachelor’s degree essential
  • MBA qualification desirable
  • Minimum 5 years in a Consulting role with prior knowledge of Human Resources
  • Experience in Financial Services Industry preferred or otherwise within a professional services environment

Technical/Specialist skills/competencies

  • Experience in project management and change initiatives as well as formulating strategic vision/roadmaps
  • Competent in creating decision framework
  • A general understanding of a Resourcing function
  • Experience reviewing systems and processes and identifying potential improvements in order to increase efficiency

Business/Industry knowledge/competencies

  • Working knowledge of the Human Resources department
  • Prefer prior experience of Citi HR processes and systems in a regional or global context
