Job Description:

The Metrics and Automation DevelopmentSenior Lead is a position responsible for activities relating to the build, maintenance and operation of infrastructure platforms, concentrating on Oracle DBA/ORAS for the U.S. Consumer Analytics Strategic Data Management. You will apply your technical knowledge and social skills to establish and drive improvements of our technology infrastructure platforms, ensuring that we are increasing the quality and reliability of the platform, with particular attention to optimizing its capacity, performance, and data quality to drive insightful dashboards. The U.S. Consumer Analytics function is central to the US Consumer Banks mission to be more customer-centric by supporting decision made on multiple levels. The types of problems we work on include: How are we implementing better controls? What does the outcome of implementing Citi’s data management policy look like to Customer’s? This role will report directly to the SVP of Business Strategy & Optimization in Data Management of U.S. Consumer Analytics.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment in database management/optimization, data modeling, and developing insightful dashboards. Strong communication skills required in order to partner with multiple teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals, as well as identify and define necessary technical and business requirements to deploy solutions/enhancements. Will work with complex and variable issues, weigh various alternatives and balance potentially conflicting needs. Build predictive pattern and trends, related to data quality, issues management, root cause determinations, operational results, workstream results, and other key indicators. Provide expertise in programming by ensuring database is designed effectively and adheres to the overall architecture blueprint, leading to cleansed data and insightful dashboards, by leveraging Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Create report schedules on Tableau server.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, code, and test significant complex cross functional technical solutions that impact multiple areas of disciplines while communicating with internal team members across multiple areas and client functions.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.
  • Apply fundamental knowledge of business intelligence concepts for design specifications/solutions and dashboard development.
  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as subject-matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders on the USCA Data Management team and /or other team members.
  • Support the development of Citi Data Governance Policy implementation strategy by partnering with Center Of Excellence colleagues and the Project Management Office to ensure consistent and efficient execution.
  • Develop optimized KPI reporting for measurable, succinct communication at both the macro and micro levels
  • Support the SVP of Business Optimization to build organizational capabilities on process and resource efficiencies.


    Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, management, and maintenance in Oracle DBA/ORAS.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python and R).
  • Strong knowledge on business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau).
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling for automation (e.g., AutoSys).
  • Strong mathematics skills and working knowledge of statistics (e.g., statistics, algebra).
  • Ability to visualize data in the most effective way possible for a given project or study.
  • Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep data extract/output.
  • Experience of working in a demanding and results driven, time critical environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and prioritize tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and prepared to grow with a team and into independent work.
  • Jira administration is a plus.
  • SharePoint Online development is a plus.
