Global Payments and Receivables products serve market segments leveraging flagship brands and a standardized set of capabilities. This opportunity within Payments Product Management organization is a dynamic senior business leadership role requiring the individual to display an excellent understanding of client experience needs, perform continuous market scans, drive innovation and work across multiple Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) product groups and geographies. The role will focus on strategic commercialization of the pipeline of innovative solutions and differentiated payments services (including but not limited to Clearing and Worldlink propositions) for Citi Financial Institutions clients.

Clearing is one of the flagship services within the Citi’s Global Payments contributing to the business growth through a very strong track record in delivering growth through innovation – most recently including the launch of 24/7/365 USD Clearing.

Worldlink is one of Citi’s key differentiators, uniquely leveraging the significant depth of the branch network and years of operating experience in many countries exceeding 100+ years. Worldlink is widely considered to be the market leader in Cross-border flows due to its ability to effect payments in about140 currencies, leveraging Citi’s in-country presence in nearly 100 countries. The depth of local operations coupled with years of experience dealing with regulators and multiple market participants, FMI and other network partners makes Citi’s Cross-border business market leading and amongst the largest in the industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive product Commercialization of Payments solutions for FIs (under the Enable FIs umbrella), globally across all geographies, to ensure the business continues to grow and capture market share on the back of new solutions and innovation.
  • Capture the feedback, voice and sentiment of FI Clients to drive strategic product development agenda and prioritization
  • Lead the organization (spread across all clusters), which is the first point of contact for Sales in regards to client queries related to capabilities, pricing, industry knowledge etc.
  • Responsible for harnessing the partnership with Cluster Payments Heads to ensure execution of commercialization initiatives to drive growth and market share capture in each Cluster.
  • Responsible for driving collaboration with FI Sales organization to ensure best in class sales enablement
  • Responsible (in partnership with Marketing) for design and execution of marketing campaigns focusing on launches of new services
  • Driving Thought Leadership agenda and production focusing on Clearing and broader FI Payments space.
  • Contribute to crystallization and execute of the overall Cross-border payments strategy across different solutions and services.
  • Represent Citi at relevant industry events, forums and working groups.
  • Lead the strategic engagement between Citi and SWIFT.
  • Actively drive the delivery of Product P&L – in particular FI Payments Revenues
  • Initiate and drive transformational initiatives to optimize resources and profitability of FI Payments
  • Attract talent and manage the Clearing and FI Payments Commercialization team. Develop the global team’s industry knowledge and create a high performing team through strong leadership skills and practices.
  • Engage, collaborate with, and actively support regional partners as part of the global payments product organization.

  • Strong evidence of leadership experience driving high performing teams
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Superior interpretive and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent team working and interpersonal skills to influence and build consensus
  • Ability to operate in a complex matrix environment
  • Propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Masters / Post graduate an advantage
